- I'm using VMM- you don't specify whether you have it, but I guess since you have an 040
- you're likely to. Since the Amiga screens are held in Amiga fastram, and only copied
- across to the CV64 ram when they're displayed, I have a suspicion that this display
- memory can get swapped out by VMM, which could really shag things up if the memory's
- suddenly needed. So I just told VMM not to allow any of the Cybergraphics processes to
- use VMM.
-
- If this isn't the case with you, one thing is pretty sure- nothing to do with CV64 ram.
- This memory is only needed for the current, physical display. All the screens themselves
- are held in Amiga ram- the 2 or 4 meg on the CV64 is not mapped into Amiga memory space,
- as far as I know. And the screenmode you're using won't use more than 2 megs of ram
- anyway! Defective display ram, as well, won't cause these problems because data is only
- written to this ram- never read back.
